About the program

Non-Lucrative Visa — a Spanish residence status for financially independent individuals with a passive income starting from EUR 30,000 per year. The program is regulated by Royal Decree 1155/2024 and allows residence in Spain without the right to work. To apply, you must prove an income of 400% of the IPREM (EUR 2,400) for the main applicant, plus 100% (EUR 600) for each family member. Residents are entitled to visa-free travel within the Schengen area for up to 90 days in every six-month period and may include a spouse and minor children in the application. After five years of residence, permanent residency becomes available, and after another five years, Spanish citizenship can be obtained.
