Premium Residency is a government initiative of Saudi Arabia, integrated into the national Vision 2030 strategy. The program offers foreign investors two priority options: permanent residency granted through a one-time contribution, or a residence permit obtained through the purchase of residential property in personal ownership. The residency status is fully independent and does not require an employer, local sponsor, or sponsorship arrangement.
By obtaining Premium Residency, an investor gains the right to full ownership of businesses and independent management of assets without the involvement of local partners. The status also provides for the absence of personal income tax, dividends, and profits from foreign assets. Under a single application, Premium Residency may be extended to spouse, children under 25, and parents, granting the entire family privileged residency in the Kingdom.

Investors and wealth managers
Families planning a long-term relocation
Premium Residency allows you to include your spouse, children up to 25, and parents in one application — all receive the same resident status without being tied to an employer. Families are exempt from the annual expat levy, saving up to SAR 72,000 (about USD 19,200) over five years, and gain access to international schools and world-class clinics in a safe G20 environment.
Financially independent individuals
Saudi Arabia offers a favorable environment for living on passive income. Residency status provides exemption from taxation on worldwide dividends, interest, and royalties. Residents can freely manage their personal capital through a robust G20 banking system while enjoying a comfortable climate and a high level of security — without any obligation to engage in entrepreneurial or business activities.

Residency status is granted in exchange for a one-time contribution of SAR 800,000 (approx. USD 215,000). The status is permanent, does not require minimum residence or renewal, and includes the right to work and conduct business. The same status may also be extended to the main applicant’s parents and children under the age of 25.
A residence permit is available through the purchase of completed residential property in personal ownership with a minimum value of SAR 4,000,000 (approx. USD 1,050,000). The residency status is tied to ownership of the property, does not require a sponsor, and is available to all family members for as long as the property is held.
